Mayor Frank Holtzman, first mayor of Bexley Village and the Village council met at several locations in the area. Their first meeting was held in Recitation Hall on the Capital University campus. Bullitt Park School eventually became the village administration’s meeting place.
In 1923, council passed an ordinance approving a $2,500 expenditure to build a village hall. This small structure served Bexley officials for almost 30 years.

When it was decided to build a larger municipal building, the Village Hall structure was sold and relocated to Margaret Street, just north of the Cassady Avenue railroad tracks.
New location of Village Hall building. If you look carefully, you can still find it!
