The Glass Bowl Restaurant was built in 1938 by Maurice Sher on the N.W. corner of East Main Street at South Cassingham Road.

The structure was designed to look like an inverted champaign glass.

In 1945, brothers Gus and Chris Tsitouris assumed operation of the business.

The Glass Bowl was razed in 1968 to make way for the construction of an office building.
